We have been using Physicool both post operatively and in between and after training sessions, to help maintain our players range of movement, reduce pain and swelling and provide support. […] It’s easily portable for use on the coaches to and from games, it’s cost effective, reusable, and provides an element of compression along with cryotherapy. It is very easy to re-apply as the first spray can last for up to two hours and is a great adjunct to our Game Ready and Compy Cool machines.

Physicool has been essential in keeping my clients up and running. Helping athletes to stay injury free whilst they are training for triathlons and working full time is one of my biggest challenges as a coach. We use Physicool to reduce pain and swelling as part of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery programme. ­The multi-faceted programme focuses on improving patient outcomes and speeding up a patient’s recovery after surgery. The cooling and compressive benefits of Physicool definitely help reduce patient swelling and pain. We want to mobilise patients faster, allowing them to use and bear weight on the limb. Physicool aids this which in turn can help reduce length of stay.

The cooling bandages were effective in the treatment of a slight adductor strain and in relieving delayed onset muscle soreness in the calves during heavy training at the Pre-Worlds training camp in Mexico. All athletes were really pleased with the longevity of the colling effect both during and post-application of the strapping.

As a member of the team taking part in the walk, I can say that picking up an injury is inevitable. I have used this brilliant product after having picked up a calf injury after day 5 of the walk, and I can honestly say it was amazing after only a few minutes the pain started to ease off and after leaving it on for a few hours the pain was gone completely. Enabling me to continue the walk the next day.

More portable and certainly less hassle than ice packs (particularly the instant variety, with which I’ve never enjoyed great success) I found them indispensable for treating a recurring knee “niggle”; one of the benefits being that the product draws heat out from the knee, thigh, etc rather than driving cold in. On the recent Atlantic Coast Challenge triple marathon – where day on day recovery was essential – I also used them to great effect as recovery compression.

Not only does Physicool help reduce swelling and pain for the everyday aches, pains and bruises. It helped me no end with my serious knee injury. While I was waiting for an operation it reduced the swelling around the knee area which gave me more movement through my knee joint. After surgery I felt that Physicool speeded up my recovery again by reducing pain and swelling and enabling my joint more movement.

Physicool was the best product I had tried on the lead up to the Ashes to keep me playing!
